Apple report $904 million profit for Q4 2007

Sets new record for Mac sales...

Apple reported some astonishing results for the fourth quarter of 2007. Profits hit $904 million, with $6.22 billion in sales for the past three months. One of the most notable figures was for Macintosh sales, hitting a record of around 2.2 million units for the quarter.
Apple also sold 10.12 million iPods and 1.2 million iPhones. This was the first full quarter of iPhone sales and shows the strength of the product to date. Since its launch in June, 1.4 million iPhones have been sold.

Apple now have 197 retails stores, mostly in the US, generating around $6.6 million per quarter. They have also predicted revenue of $9.2 billion for the Christmas quarter.
In music news, Apple have sold 3 billion tracks through the iTunes Store, and 100 million TV shows.
