Apple Expo Paris: the keynote we hope for

Our list of expectations from the Expo...
We still don't know if there will be a keynote at the Apple European Expo in Paris, but here is our wish list for the event. There are a number of expectation from the event, and this is our eternally optimistic favourites:
1/ iTunes: downloads in European iTunes Stores of TV shows and films. Given that you can download episodes of shows such as "Lost" or "Studio 60" in the US, then why not in Europe? Surely it is time for Apple and the networks to agree on European downloads even if, as we expect, we have to wait longer than the US for certain episodes.
2/ iPhone networks deal: we expect an announcement any day now between Apple and networks in the UK, France and Germany, but we really hope that Ireland and other smaller countries are not left out. We hope that there will be a pan-European deal announced in Paris on the 25th September.
3/ iPods: given the rumours of new iPods in September, we hope that Apple does not ignore this show by announcing them at a special event in the US. This for us will be a test of the dedication Apple has to the European Expo. Imagine if Apple launched new iPods in the days leading up to the San Francisco Macworld?
4/ Software: with Leopard coming in some time in October, wouldn't the Apple Expo be the ideal time to announce its launch date. OS X has a history at Paris. Apple released the beta version of OS X at the Paris event in 2000. This year there will be a maximum of 5 weeks between the (possible) keynote and the launch of 10.5, so a launch announcement is not out of the question.
How about Aperture 2 and Final Cut Express 4 too? We wouldn't take bets on these, but both are due an update. Aperture 1.5 was announced by Apple on Sept 25th 2006, so why not a new release announcement one year later. Final Cut Express 3.5 is becoming long in the tooth, and with the new Final Cut Studio, the cut down Express version needs to be refreshed.
5/ Airport: Airport Express update to support 802.11n? With the Airport Extreme Base Station updated to 802.11n, it is only a matter of time until its younger relation receives the same speed bump.
Given that we have no idea if there will even be a keynote, we won't be betting our house on any of these, but its the kind of keynote we would like to see...
Mac Information are planning to attend this year's show and we plan to bring you regular stories between the 25th and 29th September.
